The mansion of the hauted felted blanket

So there I was... In this huge mansion-like asylum, with nasty floor, moldy ceiling...
There was a big broken 'grandpa' clock, and a huge wooden stairs going to the 2nd floor. All the wood was quite oaky and very varnished (even tho the whole house was falling apart).
On the second floor, no furniture, just big, sunny rooms with faded (mint) wallpaper.

We (a small group of friends (that I don't know in my awake life), and one of them was Robert Downey Jr) were apparently living in that house in order to do a kind of experiment (for some reason it was requiring lots of needles) and we go stalked by a sort of ghost or demons. It started to possess us (and got to us via some kind of felty blanket that we were using at night to keep us warm), but slowly one after the other.

Robert manage to convince me to leave the house while he was having a moment of lucidity during a possession crisis. By doing _something_, I managed to open the big main wooden door, and there was a long concrete alley boarded with grass going to the main rural road. There was a big tree near the road on the left, and it was very sunny despite the wind and the amount of clouds in the sky.

CUT

I apparently managed to find a cure and destroy the virus-demon. I see everyone getting out the house coughing and trying to catch their breath, but at least they are alive. It seems that the demon is going back, hiding on the second floor, waiting to strike back.

I apparently slept totally through my first alarm and got woken up by the second one, an hour later.

After a bit of research seems that the tree near the road is also an oak.
In Celtic mythology, it is the tree of doors, believed to be a gateway between worlds, or a place where portals could be erected.
